ExporTech is a program of the Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance. It was developed by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) and the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP.) ExporTech is designed for manufacturers seeking to enter or expand in global markets. It assists in the development of a customized international growth plan, vetted by experts, and by building a team of organizations that helps companies move quickly beyond planning to actual export sales. With the rapid growth in many emerging economies, exports sales are the fastest growing segment of the market. In addition, many aerospace firms that survived stiff global competition are now in a better position to compete in international markets. The ExporTech program leads companies through a facilitated process that prepares them for profitable growth in global markets.
The program is broken down into three sessions spanning over ten weeks and each program has about three to five companies that participate. Throughout the sessions, group workshops are incorporated with individual coaching, resulting in an export plan that has been vetted by experienced professionals.
Why should a small manufacturer participate in ExporTech?
1. A Vetted Export Plan
A concrete export strategy and playbook is produced at the end of the program with vetted input by international experts and business people.
2. Valued Connections
Connections are made with similar organizations who have had experience with exporting and C-level experts in your industry with vast experience abroad provide enhanced learning experiences.
3. Customized Sessions
