The Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance has an opening for a database coordinator.

Connex Oklahoma Database Coordinator:

The Manufacturing Portal Project Managers role is to develop, migrate, and maintain the manufacturers’ portal that will be utilized as a resource for connecting manufacturers to resources and expertise across the state of Oklahoma. This role is also required to represent the portal resource to trade associations, industry groups, and manufacturers across Oklahoma.

This role will be required to work in a team environment with center staff, outside industry groups and state agencies to develop and offer a portal to connect manufacturers to the resources they need to grow and sustain their business in Oklahoma.

Essential Accountabilities and Responsibilities (percentage of total time):

Database Migration and Data Integrity – 40%

Accountable to set-up and migrate all manufacturing data and ensure that it is maintained on a regular basis.

Connex Oklahoma (Supply Chain Oklahoma) Project Management – 25%

Accountable to develop and project manage an implementation schedule with the center leadership team and outside providers to meet the portal milestones and deliverables.

Connex Oklahoma Work Processes and Systems – 15%

Accountable to create procedures and work instructions on how to maintain and manage the manufacturing portal so it can be sustained effectively.

Integration with Marketing and Operations – 10%

Accountable to partner with the Manufacturing Alliance Marketing Director and the Operations staff to ensure that the portal serves the needs and request of manufacturers. Utilize Database to develop new client leads for field staff. Integration of Supplier Scouting from national network.

Continuous Learning – 5%

Accountable to partner with direct manager to create and maintain a personal and professional development plan.

Administrative Documentation – 5%

Ensure all reporting and client tracking is completed to ensure compliance with the Manufacturing Alliance’s policies and procedures.



The role is both an internal database coordinator position as well as a public facing resource to work with manufacturers to obtain their needs. This position requires strong database and project management experience including the following competencies:

  • Skills and expertise in database migration and development.
  • Experience and understanding of supply chain a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to network and represent the center and portal.
  • Excellent communication and people skills are a must.
  • Must have a strong business acumen and can learn about a company’s operations and act as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership.
  • Must be well versed in manufacturing and the supporting industries to understand the end user’s need.
  • Must be a brand ambassador of the Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance.
  • Must be self-managed and driven to achieve measurable results and work remotely.
  • Must be hands-on with a high level of drive, energy, and integrity.
  • Must be willing to travel when required to attend networking or give portal related presentations.
