About the Position:
The Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance seeks an experienced and dynamic professional to serve as Center Director for the NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) award. Reporting to the President and CEO, this pivotal role ensures successful implementation and management of our federally funded NIST MEP program, designed to boost the competitiveness and growth of Oklahoma’s manufacturing sector.
What You will Do:
- Manage daily operations of the NIST MEP award, aligning closely with OMA’s strategic objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all federal guidelines and performance metrics.
- Regularly monitor, evaluate, and report program outcomes to OMA leadership and NIST.
- Serve as the primary contact and liaison with NIST, ensuring clear communication and seamless reporting.
- Collaborate extensively with local manufacturers, industry leaders, governmental agencies, educational institutions, and economic development organizations.
- Oversee the program’s fiscal management, including budgeting, expenditures, and compliance reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop dedicated staff to execute program goals and objectives effectively.
- Maintain rigorous compliance standards and proactively manage program-related risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in business administration, public administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing federal grants or awards, ideally within manufacturing or economic development environments.
- Strong familiarity with NIST MEP guidelines and federal grant administration preferred.
- Demonstrated excellence in program administration, budget oversight, and compliance management.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Proven leadership abilities in fostering a collaborative, results-oriented team environment.
